Primus is a mobile application that allows users to analyze food, cosmetic, and everyday products based on information provided by the user, including photos of labels, ingredient lists, barcodes, and manually entered information.
1. Data collected
Primus may collect or process the following categories of data:
- Account data: email address, user ID, authentication status, and account-related information.
- Onboarding data: preferences, selected analysis level, goals, food habits, and product-related preferences voluntarily provided by the user.
- Analysis data: photos, label images, ingredient lists, barcodes, product names, detected ingredients, categories, verdicts, alerts, and analysis results.
- Usage data: scan logs, detail view logs, selected analysis level, history, favorites, and quota-related events.
- Subscription data: subscription status, entitlements, purchase history, and technical payment identifiers processed through Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
- Technical data: anonymous device identifier generated locally, preferred language, app version, and technical information necessary for security and operation.
Primus does not collect credit card information. Payments are processed by Apple’s or Google’s in-app purchase systems, and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat.
2. Camera, photos, and product images
Primus may request access to the camera or photo library to let users photograph or import products, labels, ingredient lists, or packaging.
Images submitted for analysis may be sent to technical service providers, including Supabase and OpenAI, in order to provide the requested analysis. Images or derived image data may also be stored technically in Supabase Storage or in the analysis history where necessary to provide the app’s features, maintain the service, or allow the user to access previous analyses.
3. Purpose of processing
The data collected may be used to:
- provide the product analysis service;
- analyze products submitted by the user;
- display analysis history, favorites, and analysis results;
- personalize the experience based on the selected analysis level and onboarding preferences;
- manage quotas, subscriptions, and premium access;
- improve reliability, security, and proper functioning of the service;
- respond to support requests;
- comply with legal obligations.
4. Third-party services
Primus may rely on the following technical service providers:
- Supabase: authentication, database hosting, storage, and server function execution.
- OpenAI: AI analysis of images and text submitted by the user.
- RevenueCat: subscription and entitlement management.
- Apple and Google: in-app purchases and payment processing.
- OpenFoodFacts: product information lookup by barcode, where applicable.
These providers process data only as necessary to provide the application’s features, ensure technical operation, manage subscriptions, or comply with legal obligations.
5. Data retention
Analysis history is accessible within the app for a limited period. Account deletion triggers deletion or anonymization of associated data, subject to legal retention obligations.
Technical AI logs may be retained for improving, securing, and operating the service. These logs are not intended to directly identify users, but may include content submitted for analysis.
Subscription and billing-related data may be retained as required by applicable legal, accounting, or tax obligations.
Local data stored on the user’s device may remain until sign-out, app deletion, or manual deletion.
6. Data deletion and user rights
Users may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of their personal data by contacting:
support@primus-ai.app
Users can also delete their account directly from the application where the feature is available:
Profile > Legal information > Manage my data.
Account deletion deletes or anonymizes associated application data where technically and legally possible. Subscription cancellation must be managed separately through the Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
7. Security
Primus implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including encrypted communications, secure authentication, restricted database access policies, and server-side access controls.
No system is completely infallible. In the event of a data breach, Primus will take appropriate measures in accordance with applicable law.
8. International transfers
Some data may be processed outside the user’s country of residence, including by service providers such as OpenAI, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, or other technical providers. Where required, such transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards.
9. Children
Primus is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
10. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the application, service providers, legal obligations, or data practices.
